The cutest Tiger in the neighborhood, Daniel Tiger, is coming to PBS Kids September 3rd!! PBS Kids, Angela Santomero, and the Fred Rogers Company have created Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood based on Fred Rogers Mister Rogers Neighborhood. They have taken Mister Rogers legacy and moved it forward in a whole new modern way. PBS Kids aims to show preschoolers how to tackle the mysteries of life big and small with the launch of the adorable Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood September 3rd!
We received a Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood screener of the premiere episode Daniel’s Birthday and Daniel’s Picnic, and Baybah cannot get enough of it. He keeps asking for more Daniel Tiger! The storyline, music, animation and characters are absolutely adorable. I can see why Baybah loves it so much! And PBS Kids has added Daniel Tiger to their free PBS Kids App so we can watch it on the go as well. When I asked Baybah what he liked best about Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, he started singing the theme song in his own words, “Would you be mine? Would you be mine? Will you be my neighbor?” Too cute! I think he loves the music best. He also said that he wanted a Tiger cake just like Daniel Tiger. Sounds like a perfect birthday cake! I love how each episode has a musical strategy that helps children deal with their feelings. These coping strategies that are set to music teach children how to deal with their feelings in a fun and easy to remember way. “When something seems bad, turn it around and find something good!” Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is so cute. I am glad Baybah will get to experience the wonderful land of make believe just like I did when I was a child.
If you have kids ages 2-4 watch the premier episode of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood on PBS Kids, September 3rd! I know that they will love the show as much as we do!
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood premiers September 3rd at 11 am right after Elmo on your local PBS station. The show will re-air at 1:30 pm on weekdays and at 6:30 and 9:30 am on weekends. Daniel Tiger is also be on the PBS Kids App and interactive games.
