This week has been filled with some exciting news for Disney Junior! Jake and the Never Land Pirates has been picked up for a third season! A hit since its premiere in February 2011, Jake and the Never Land Pirates is cable TV’s #1 series among Boys 2-5 and Disney Channel’s #1 preschool series of all time among total Viewers, Kids 2-5, Boys 2-5 and Women 18-49. The series airs daily during Disney Channel’s Disney Junior programming block for kids age 2-7 and will have a major presence on the new 24-hour Disney Junior channel launching in the U.S. on Friday, March 23.
Speaking of Jake and the Never Land Pirates, the premiere of the primetime special Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns on Monday night was the series’ most-watched telecast of all time and ranks as Disney Channel’s #1 evening preschool telecast EVER. WOW!
Disney Junior also just unveiled a new line of toys inspired by some of their most popular series including Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Minnie’s Bow-Toons and the upcoming Doc McStuffins at an event held during The American International Toy Fair. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were joined by special guests Sharon Osbourne and David Arquette, voices of Mama Hook and Skully on Jake and the Never Land Pirates to present the toys to the audience. I am so excited to get Baybah some of the new Jake and the Never Land Pirates toys!!

my kids have already seen the Dr. commercial and ask when it will be on! I’m sure they will be just as excited when I tell them about new toys!
I really miss having cable sometimes, just because of shows on the Disney channel!

I actually caught my girls watching this very episode during their TV time before bed. They’re 5 & 7, LOL!
Some of my favorite tv memories as a kid are of watching the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights.
