It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and one of my favorite things to do over the Holidays is to visit light displays. I remember as a child driving through the neighborhoods looking at all of the families lights. Now thanks to Las Vegas Motor Speedway you can go on a fun 2.5 mile drive through their Glittering Lights display. I mean who does lights better than Las Vegas? This grandiose spectacle would be enough to make Clark W. Griswald blush.
Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Speedway is in its 13 year, and let me tell you, they have a light display for everyone from kids to grandparents! There was Elvis, dinosaurs, cars, Santa, nutcrackers, penguins, poinsettias, butterflies, and so much more! Baybah loved the dinosaurs and cars of course, and my favorite part was the tunnel of lights! As we drove under, through, and around the more than 400 animated and twinkling lights, everyone oohed and awed. It inspired us to sing Christmas carols the whole way through.
An exciting addition to Glittering Lights is the Avenue of Trees. This area is sponsored by Las Vegas Motor Speedway and will showcase over 55 charities with custom dedication signs and fully lit trees decorated by each charity.
The best part about Glittering Lights, a portion of ticket sales goes to Speedway Children’s Charities that provides funding for hundreds of children’s charities throughout Southern Nevada. Goodwill of Southern Nevada will provide $2 off admission with a donation of gently used items at any of the 30+ sites located in Southern Nevada or at the entrance to Glittering Lights.
Glittering Lights is open Monday – Thursday from 5:30 – 9 p.m. at $15/ vehicle and Friday – Sunday from 5:30 – 10 p.m. at $20/ vehicle. The first 15,000 vehicles will receive a gift bag filled with goodies. Purchase tickets at Glittering Lights, any Walgreens or at Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Disclosure: We were provided to a VIP night at Glittering Lights for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
