Recently I spoke to you about an amazing speaker at EVO Conference, but I also wanted to tell you how Emily from Family and Life in Las Vegas and I traveled there in style in a molten red Kia Soul. This funky car not only has soul, the color, leather interior, 7 speakers, Infinity sound system, and more gave it sass too.
I felt like I was on a college road trip as I drove to Emily’s house to pick her up. We loaded up the car and then headed to Starbuck’s for some caffeine to help us fuel our 7 hour journey and we were on the road! We made sure to set the navigation system so we knew the best route to go and had the Sirius/XM radio pumping through the lighted speaker frames that glowed to the beat of the music.
As we drove we noticed that this little car has pickup as we went up and through the mountains. We also noticed that it was great on gas too with 28 mpg city/34 highway. We only had to stop twice both ways to put gas in the the tank and that is not bad for a 7 hour plus trip! The seats were super comfy too. I loved how they added little details like etch Soul into the back of the seats. I told you this was one sassy car.
The Kia Soul kicks butt in the rain too. We ran into some pretty heavy rain on the way home as we were driving through the mountains of Arizona and the car’s traction control and windshield wippers handled the downpour like a dream.
While this was the perfect road trip vehicle for two blogging moms, I am not sure about a family of four because of the trunk space. There is plenty of legroom for two adults in the front and even backseat, but because of the trunk size, it would make it hard to fit a stroller and luggage for a weekend trip for a family of four. We could only fit our two suitcases and a couple of small bags. The back seat does fold down making it a super car to help your friends move or transport materials for that next DIY project.
Overall we had an amazing trip but most importantly the quality of the Kia Soul got us there and back safely while delivering us in style!

Disclosure: I was loaned the Kia Soul for the purpose of review. Thoughts and opinions are my own.
