I might not have been a FanGirl before I saw The Avengers, but now I sure am! I absolutely loved this film. It was an action movie with a sense of humor and heart. It had me laughing, crying, and cheering for more. Yes, I laughed out loud and teared up twice during this movie. Who would have thought?! Director Joss Whedon did an amazing job putting it all together to make action, humor and heart work together as one.
Super Heroes Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) answer the call to action when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), director of the peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., initiates a recruitment effort to assemble The Avengers team to defeat an unexpected enemy threatening global safety and security.
Despite assembling the ultimate dream team, Nick Fury, Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) must find a way to convince the Super Heroes to work together and not against each other. The powerful and dangerous Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Thor’s brother, has other plans and gains access to the Cosmic Cube and all of its unlimited power. He puts the Avengers to the test as he plots to take over the world.
Does Loki and his need for power prevail? You will have to watch The Avengers to find out!
