I am so excited to announce that I am heading to New York City!! Marvel/Disney is sending myself and 24 other bloggers to attend the Red Carpet Tribeca Film Festival closing night screening of The Avengers. The thing that is so exciting about this red carpet screening, other than the fact that the stars of The Avengers will be there (squee!), is that the screening will celebrate everyday heros from police officers, firemen, first responders, and the military. Here is what Marvel Studios’ producer Kevin Feige has to say about the celebration.
We all know and love our iconic Super Heroes, but when it really counts, it’s our real-life heroes who save the world every day by making it a better place for all of us.
I have a feeling I am going to need some tissues for this wonderful celebration of our real-life heroes.
In Marvel’s The Avengers the world’s greatest Super Heroes assemble when Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) join S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to protect the world from the dangerous and powerful villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
I am not sure what our other plans are while we are in NYC, but I sure hope they involve something with this guy . . .
