One of Baybah’s all time favorite shows is Curious George and we are super excited that this number one series for preschoolers will start its seventh season this week! Curios George will take a trip down under with a special appearance by animal conservationist Bindi Irwin in Monkey Down Under.
In Monkey Down Under, George and The Man with the Yellow Hat head south for an Australian Outback Adventure. While The Man with the Yellow Hat goes sea cow sightseeing, George stays behind to investigate a set of giant footprints in the sand. Could it be a mysterious hopping clown rabbit? Or perhaps . . . a bay kangaroo?!! Bindi teaches George all about the koalas, emus, kangaroos and more starting Monday, December 3, on PBS Kids.
Throughout the new season, George learns about a wide range of mammals, reptiles, insects and birds and Parents can find special activities online to help satisfy their little monkey’s curiosity about the animals too. There you can download “Exploring the World of Animals” for tips on identifying animals in their own neighborhoods. You can also print out George’s Butterfly Hide-and-Seek activity sheet for coloring butterflies and get the “Act Like an Animal!” activity, which helps children make a “critter catcher.”
The Curious George season premier is followed by two more brand new episodes airing Tuesday and Wednesday, December 4-5, and airs weekdays on PBS Kids. Check your local listings for showtimes.
Earlier this week we received a screener of the new episodes and Curious George Dinosaur Tracks books, games, and activities.
Baybah absolutely loved the new episodes. I love how you can see him thinking while he watches the show.
