The Number One Way for Moms to Make Sure They Get Their Workout In

It might have started off as a little bribe.  You know the, “If you take a nap when you wake up we will . . .” bribe.  Today I told Baybah that if he took a nap when he woke up we would go on a bike ride.  I really wanted to go on the bike ride, but honestly after a couple of hours I forgot about it.  Well, you know who did not forget about it.  The second he woke up from his nap he ran downstairs and said, “Bike ride! Bike ride!”  There was no getting out of it.  He had it set in his head that we were going on a bike ride when he woke up and he would not take no for an answer.

We all jumped on our bikes and rode 3 miles!  Afterward I was so glad I listened to Baybah and went on that bike ride.  What is the number one way to make sure you get your workout in?

Promise your toddler that as soon as they wake up from a nap you will ride bikes with them.  Or whatever other fun workout you have in mind.

You will be happy, your body will be happy, and best of all your little one will be happy!

My goals for this Week:

  1. Get in at least 10,000 steps a day.
  2. Drink at least 100 oz of water a day.
  3. Workout with my family at least 3 times this week!
  4. Eat at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables each day.

Have a great week and keep up the momentum. :)

  9. That’s awesome that he didn’t forget!

  10. Oh, that’s a good idea! Lol, leave it to the little one to hold us to our word! They’re a lot harder to talk out of it than you could be to yourself! ;)

  25. Good for you for sticking with everything and pushing yourself, even when you don’t want to. I do my best by waking up an hour early for an exercise sesh and relaxing shower. No kids to bother me and I get it done and over with.

  26. You are right with getting the kids involved! They are my motivator at times and would be full time if I let them. I just am riding the excuse train!

  27. That’s awesome – I need to get one of those! Well, and a bike. That’s so perfect though because it’s fun for your kids and you get a workout! No excuses!

  28. Fantastic goals and I look forward to following along on your journey

I wish it weren’t so hot here in South Florida, because I’d love to get out and walk. I’m actually considering buying a treadmill – just for the summer months.

  30. YES – if I’m feeling a lack of motivation coming on, I just tell my girls that we’ll exercise together and they HOLD ME TO IT. They love exercising and it’s so much more fun with them around!

  31. Love to see that no matter what there is always a way to get a workout in.

    Here’s to your health :)

  39. I love involving the kids. When I was doing the 30 day shred, my oldest would do it with me and not even break a sweat.
