Valentine’s Day Craft | Valentine’s Heart Swag

Earlier this week I started putting together my Valentines shelf/mantle.  The first thing I wanted to make was a Heart Swag to hang on the shelf and I thought this would be a good project to share.  This is so easy and simple to make – plus not very expensive Valentines Day craft.

Heart Swag

Heart Swag

Supplies Needed
Heart Doilies (I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby and spent around $2 for both packages)
Ribbon – I cut each ribbon piece to about 11 1/2 inches

Heart swag

I have a lot of ribbon leftover from other projects so this project was great for using up leftover ribbon.

Let’s get started!

Grab your first heart doily and run the ribbon through it.

Valentines Day Craft
Tie a knot at the beginning – this will help when hanging your swag.

Tie a ribbon onto the first ribbon and repeat.

Continue until your swag is as long as you would like and hang it onto your shelf.

Heart Pennant

This is a super simple project but I think is so cute and just adds a little something.  I can’t wait to finish decorating my shelf.  Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
